El Pony Pisador - Mars Rover (Els Experts d'iCat fm)

Avui és la vigília de sant patrici i per celebrar-ho parlarem de robots, i hem fet una versió de Wild Rover una de les cançons de cultura irlandesa més tocada al món tot i que té un origen desconegut. Originalment aquesta cançó parla d’un individu que passa molt temps fora del seu poble i quan torna la tavernera no vol fiar-hi diners perquè diu que a fora n’ha guanyat molts.
D’aquesta cançó en destaquem dos fets, el primer ens sorprèn la originalitat de la lletra que parla de consumir alcohol, un fet molt anecdòtic en el folk irlandès. I el segon es que tot i ser una cançó del s.XIV els fets que descriu encara passen actualment.
La nostra proposta ha sigut canviar la lletra per parlar del Mars Rover, un vehicle utilitzat per explorar la superfície marciana i utilitzar recursos i sonoritats Jean Michel Jarre.

Tomorrow is st patrick's day and to celebrate so we talk about robots, and we've done a version of Wild Rover, one of the most famous irish songs with an unknown origin. Originally this song talks about someone who spends a lot of time abroad and when he comes back to his village the barmaid does not want to sell him on credit because she says that he earned lots of money abroad.
We would like to highlight a couple of things from this song. The first one is the surprising fact that it talks about the alcohol consumption, a really anechdotic fact in irish folk. The second one is that although it's a song from the 14th century, the acts it describes still take place nowadays.
Our proposal has been to change the lyrics to talk about Mars Rover, a vehicle used to explore the surface of other plaents and use resources and soudns from Jean Michel Jarre.
